Tarawera Falls
Enjoy this beautiful one hour scenic walk through native forest to the majestic Tarawera Falls. You'll be captivated by the natural flora, fauna and bird life on the way. Watch how the river disappears into a rocky chasm, and then reappears out of the cliff face cascading to the bottom of the valley. After your walk, you can enjoy a refreshing swim or just relax over coffee aboard the luxury vessel.

Rotomahana
Lake Rotomahana can be found at a lovely 20 minute walk from the Te Ariki jetty on the eastern side of Lake Tarawera. This lake was home to the world-renowned Pink and White Terraces that were tragically destroyed in the 1886 Tarawera Eruption. Your skipper will gladly explain the history of the area, how the eruption affected the local people and the landscape, especially at the famous buried village of Te Wairoa.
