Step aboard, relax unwind and enjoy a scenic cruise on picturesque Lake Tarawera. You skipper will explain the early Maori and volcanic history of the area.

You will hear how the dramatic 1886 eruption of Mt Tarawera destroyed the world renowned Pink and White Terraces and buried the Maori Village of Te Wairoa (known today as the Buried Village).

Lake Tarawera is renowned for its trophy sized Rainbow Trout (up to 7kgs or 15lbs). You can experience the excitement of catching these prized fish, a number of methods are used including fly-fishing, spin fishing, trolling, harling and jigging.

When we approach Hot Water Beach, you are invited to step off the vessel to explore the untouched native bush and immerse yourself in natural thermal waters and enjoy morning or afternoon tea on board.
