These Self-Drive Pleasure Boats are capable of accommodating up to 10 people in comfort. Perfect for families, friends or smaller groups and couples to explore the lake on their own.

All it takes is 5 minutes of tuition on boat operation and then you are on your way. A map of the lake is provided so you can visit areas of interest i.e. Hot Water Beach, Twin Streams and find the best fishing spots on the lake.

Hot Water Beach is the gem of Lake Tarawera and the perfect setting with its natural thermal springs and lake edge swimming pools to enjoy which are only accessible by boat. Hiring a pontoon boat is a very cost effective option to explore this magical area. 

These vessels are perfect for those who wish to try their hand at fishing for Trophy sized Rainbow Trout and we can supply the local knowledge and all fishing equipment to provide you with a best possible chance to catch these prized fish. Fishing licenses are available at an extra cost.

You are welcome to bring along a picnic and drinks to enjoy on board. Food and beverages can also be purchased from the Landing caf.
